Does Your Appraiser Do This For You?

Carl is on location again! Last week, he was in the woods playing with fire. This week, he is at a beautiful spot just a few yards from the ocean.

(How does this guy make so much money originating loans, I mean is it me or does this guy ever spend time in the office…I guess his strategies really do work…)

Make sure you watch this video of Carl explaining how he gets his Appraiser to give killer testimonials of his services to the lister, selling agent, the buyer and the seller.

Get the Flash Player to see the wordTube Media Player.

Don’t forget to click the “Post Your Comments” button below and tell us what you thought of this tip ALSO tell us where you would like to see Carl shoot a future video.

We will select the most creative location sometime next week and send the winner a new camcorder called The Flip. They shoot quality videos, are super easy to use and you can upload your videos to the web with little effort at all. Carl and I plan to show you two different ways to get your videos online within the next week or so. In the meantime,

Check Out the The Flip Here

Carl,

Great tip! I appreciate the new information. How about doing the next tip from Disney World (discussing how we don’t need to have a “Mickey Mouse” process, or maybe from a fishing boat (discussing ways to fish for prospects)?

Great video, your overwhelming the buyer, seller, listing agent etc.. with how good of a loan officer you are..have a third party talk good about you is always great. As far a filming your next video how about going on top of a high building of a roof ( secured roof top) over looking the city and ocean its a metaphor for being on top of your business and over looking the small people (loan officers) who arent making it in this business unlike you!

Good tip. I like it.

Now, for the next place to record a tip, I would like to see it at the base of a volcano (or better yet, at the top of the volcano). This could be tied in to explosive ideas for an explosive market or something like that. If that isn’t doable, you could mock it up as if you are doing the video from underwater. You know, have the snorkel and mask on. But, because it would take some expensive equipment to film underwater, you just do it from behind an aquarium. Of course, you could position it with not drowning in this down market or swimming with the big fish or something like that.

The “Flip” can also be a good way to get great testimonials for you to put on your site or emails. After doing a great job for a client, send them a Flip to do the recording - they can do it themselves by holding it at arms length. Once you have down loaded it, you can send the Flip back to your client as a “Thank you!”

How about doing one from the Grand Canyon where you have the greatness of mother nature as your background to illustrate any number of your great ideas - with great roi for business building.

Let’s see Carl do his next video in front of a mortgage company that is out of business.

That tip was a “slap yourself on the forehead” simple, sharp, and actionable gem.

For your next location, how about shooting in front of the empty or re-purposed office of an out-of-business lender whose phone calls you are now taking as you now have their phone number, maybe even standing with one of the clients you got off that number, as suggested in a prior tip.

I think a great idea would be to shoot a TIME MANAGEMENT video at the most famous graveyard/cemetary in your local area.

As we all know from Sacks…there is a big difference working on your business rather than in your business and ultimately with the 80/20 rule (Pareto Principle), since 20% of your efforts results in 80% of your income, the “DUH” is figure out what comprises that 20% and do more of that and stop doing the 80% that is mostly a waste of time.

This will give you more time to do more of the 20% stuff so you can make even more money and/or having more time to do important stuff like exercise and spending time with your family.

The Dash video clip is short and inspirational.

Basically we all should realize by now that as James Ray says in The Secret, money is only a part of TRUE WEALTH, it is important, but also equally or more important is your health, family, spiritual, relationships, etc. I would suspect that any millionaire told he had months to live because of cancer would be going through turmoil because of regret.

Some people sacrifice their health attaining wealth and then end up spending their wealth on their health and medical expenses because they are not healthy.

Is it is funny that you could do a seminar such as first time homebuyers, etc, with 5 of your co-workers and if you asked for volunteers after the seminar to spend an hour to help you break down the tables/chairs/clean up/etc, there would be a few that have no problem giving up their time.

Yet if they met a stranger/bum on the way to the meeting and that person asked for $100 as a gift and would not pay it back…99% of the people would never give away money like that on a whim. When is the last time you saw anyone in your office take out a $100 bill and go up to a co-worker who was having a bad month and say this is a gift, I just wanted to give you some free money?!!

Many people don’t give money away, but they give away their time which is more valuable than money.

The thing is as LO’s, we make hundreds/thousands of dollars per file and our time is incredibly valuable…we have to use it wisely because we are ALL dying and we must take the whatever that we have left and use it so that on our death bed, there will be less regrets.

No one on their death bed will be wishing they did another loan or put in more OT, they will be wishing they spent more time with their loved ones.

Jim Rohn says the pain of discipline weighs ounces, but the pain of regret weighs tons.

No matter how good we are at anything, the truth is we can become better…while it is sad when a person with cancer is told that they have x months left to live…the great thing is they now start to make amends with broken relationships and if possible do some of the things on their goal list that they put off for years such as a family Alaska cruise, etc. Unfortunately, the majority never know when their time will be up and don’t get a chance to do the important things in their lives because of procrastination and poor time management. We can be better spouses, parents, etc.

We need to invest in ourselves and always be thinking of ways to become better with TIME MANAGEMENT because it affects everything in our lives.

Besides The Secret, I highly recommend watching You Can Heal Your Life and The Secret Things of God.

Sorry if this was kind of long, but I feel that this is very important and if I can help “pay it forward” and help someone have a better life, that will be great!

Powerful & simple to implement. For your next shoot…. lots of great places right here in the Tampabay area. My suggestion is for you to shoot @ a TampaBay Rays baseball game with another one of your home run strategies…maybe on something like teamwork….

#9 Devaun Mooney

Great tip as usual. How about doing your next tip at a alligator farm, talk about how all the other brokers are just sitting around waiting for their next meal, while you’re out writing deals.

I would like to see Carl filming a video sitting on his Harley with “born to be wild” playing in the background (you know, from Easy Rider…) - message: it’s easy to take a ride on long weekends and really see America when you have marketing and processing on auto-pilot - as a one man shop, not only does Carl earn more than 1/2 million AND run a couple of other coaching and training businesses, he also has time to take 6-8 vacations a year riding bikes all over the country - taking life on HIS terms! WOuldn’t you like to set YOURSELF free from the desk you are chained to?

#14 manny

Next video to be recorded in a location where there is a lot of vacante and forclosed home. He can walk around and explain how this is what is going on all over, however it does not effect his business. In fact he is taking advantave of the market instability.

Carl, somehow I missede the credit repair in 45 days webinar. Can you send me another link so I can check it out?

Hey Carl…love the tip this week. Excellent use of leverage! :)

How ’bout this for your next location…

Have some fun with the “rock star” analogy. Start off the clip sitting in the back of a parked limo… dressed up like your favorite rock star… surrounded by ‘raving fans.’ With images of camera flashes peeking through the tinted glass of the limo.

You could use the title of Robert Ringer’s famous “What’s all the commotion about?” headline as your inspiration for the message:

“Why DO I attract buyers to me like bees to honey? Do I have some sort of long-lost hidden secret? Nah. I just do what I say I’m gonna do (deliver the goods to a starving crowd)…be bold and tell the world about it…make others feel special…deliver 10 X the value of what I get in return (selling dollars for a dime)… and have a ton of fun doing it!”

Guess what? You can be a ‘rock star’, too. It’s up to you. You just gotta believe in yourself…sincerely want to help others and put their needs before yours…get out of your head and into your buyers head…over-deliver on value…make working with you an experience never to be forgotten (insert your favorite live rock performance here as an example of how it FEELS)”

That’s it for now. Gotta run. My fans await! :)

Or something like that…

Steve

Hey Carl,

A cool location would be up in the sky, with you parachuting out of a plane! A jump at 13,000 feet would give you approximately 60 seconds of free fall, enough for your video.

All kinds of tie-ins here:
how knowing the details of your pack, harness, altimeter (tools of your trade) are critical to survival;
lots of LOs plummeting with the market change, and the importance of a good “parachute” and back-up chute in your business;
Oh, this is a bigee: if you’ve never sky-dived before, you have to go tandem with an instructor. They coach you through the jump and make sure you land safely. See the opportunity for a little self-promotion?

So jump out of a plane for the sake of your students, Carl. Tony Robbins’ll have nothin’ on you!
